Story of the Blog:
I've always enjoyed traveling. Hell, tons of people do, which is kinda cool when you think about it.
But in my travels, my favorite things are rarely what the guidebooks say. Things which grab my attention, fascinate me, entertain me, and make me think.
And by travels, I don't even mean just far-flung locales. I've been sucked in by taking the wrong turn back from the office, walking down a neighborhood road at a different time of day, or stopping at random towns in road trips.
I'm never sure what random thing will grab my attention. Or what random journey will become an adventure.
Story of the Me:
I grew up on top of a mountain in the middle of a forest. Fortunately, these mountains were just south of Silicon Valley, so while I was surrounded by trees, I was also surrounded by art, music, and technology.
I lived in Chicago, then LA for six years each before moving to the "country" (mid-sized city near Indianapolis).
Years of theater, film, music, random jobs, and all the normal artist craziness blended together to make what I am now:
A cultured mountain man who likes civilization but can enjoy a good nothingness. One who finds the lives of people and the world simply fascinating.
